Prettyfins (Family Plesiopidae) are a family of long sender fishes with a rounded or pointed tail, long-based dorsal fin and a rounded blunt snout. They are generally quite small, although some species of the genus Paraplesiops, including the Southern Blue Devil, can reach over 30cm in length.
