Acanthaluteres brownii - Spinytail Leatherjacket

This large leatherjacket species can be found in seagrasses and rocky reef environments. Males have a row of horizontal blue stripes behind their eye, but their colouration is variable, from yellowish-green to blue-grey with a dark red caudal peduncle. Females are generally a drab green, the blue stripes much more muted.
