The Jimble is the only box jellyfish known from South Australia. Like its tropical counterparts, its long tentacles can cause painful (but not life-threatening) stings. This jellyfish has a small transparent bell with four long trailing tentacles. It is usually seen in the late evening or at night, usually swimming over a sandy bottom.
