Caulerpa trifaria

This green alga is common on jetty pylons and rocky reef. It is bright green in colour and usually grows in dense mats. Its thin, feathery ramuli are equally organised in 3 rows on each branch (thallus). This triangular arrangement of ramuli is distinctive and on close inspection, this species is unlikely to be mistaken for another.
