Cryptoplax striata

A long worm-like chiton, with the narrow valves embedded in a wide girdle, this species lives in crevices and under rocks in the intertidal and subtidal zones. This species has a much narrower area of the valves visible than Notoplax, and can be distinguished from C. iredalei by the larger spicules on its girdle.
