This pale-shelled snail is usually found under rocks in the subtidal zone. Its whorls are convex, with finely beaded spiral ribs and its shell is peppered with sparse brown spots. It is very similar to its relative, Granata imbricata, but has much more pronounced whorls and a higher spire.
