The Port Jackson Shark is a member of the Bullhead sharks, and is the only one of its kind found in SA waters. It is a ground shark that spends most of its time in crevices or under ledges. It is distinguishable by its distinctive markings and crest above the eyes. It eats invertebrates, and has specialised grinding teeth to crush the shells of its prey. It is not considered dangerous to humans.
