This small stalked barnacle is commonly found in groups under rocks. Its oral plates are claw-shaped, and this combined with its short and hairy stalk gives it the appearance of a dog's toe. Although it can be difficult to recognise this as an organism at all, there are really no other species it can be commonly mistaken for.
