Aplidium clivosum

This colonial ascidian attaches to rock, and is pale pink to bright red in colour. Its systems consist of a protruding cloacal aperture in a depression lined with branchial apertures. Between these depressions are raised ridges that are almost always covered by a thick layer of sand.
