Size: 13 cm

Distribution: Relatively few records. SA coastal and gulf waters west of Cape Jervis

Habitat: Sandy areas, often on the edge of seagrass beds

Depth: Subtidal to 10+ metres

This large sea cucumber is found in sandy environments. It is pale to sandy brown, with darker patches of colouration, and scattered on the upper body, in irregular rows, are a series of short dark spinelets. It is very similar to Holothuria hartmeyeri, but can reportedly be distinguished by its shorter, squatter body, and that its dark brown patches are comparitavely lighter than in H. hartmeyeri.
