A species of sponge crab, this crab is usually found with a specially shaped piece of sponge or colonial ascidian fixed to its back, held in place by a pair of modified hook-like legs. It ranges from off-white to brown, and has a three-pointed rostrum, with the centre point shorter than the outside two.
