Bottlenose dolphins are the most common and well-known genus of dolphin. They are mostly grey to brown with some subtle countershading (slightly darker on top than below). With a maximum length of around 2.5m, the Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin is not as large as the Common Bottlenose Dolphin (T. truncatus), but has a longer rostrum and dark spots on the underside.
