Vulsella

Members of this genus of long, slim clams are rarely properly seen, and are usually almost impossible to identify in-situ. This is because they live completely embedded in Psammocinia sponges, and are visible only as narrow slits in the sponge. They need to be removed from the sponge to be definitively identified.
