This relatively large clingfish is found under rocks in the subtidal zone. It has a pearlescent pinkish grey body with darker grey dorsal stripes and an even darker horizontal black stripe over its eye, as well as a heavily pointed snout. It is similar to the rarely-encountered Smoothsnout Clingfish (Aspasmogaster liorhynchus), but that species does not have stripes.
