Habitat: Seagrass and algae beds

Depth: Subtidal to 10 metres

Well-camouflaged in Posidonia or Zostera seagrass beds, this long slender pipefish has a whiplike tail with no visible tail fin. It is greenish in colour, and usually has a large number of black spots along its back, which help to distinguish it from other species, along with its long tube mouth.
