This colourful sponge-eating nudibranch is variable in appearance and can be difficult to ID. Its base colour is white or pale, as are its gills and rhinophores, although these also feature maroon to violet highlights. Its body features orange and purple spots varying size and some individuals also have a one or two darker patches. In addition, it has an outer margin of orange spots, and an inner margin of purple spots.
