Size: 12 cm

Distribution: All SA coastal and gulf waters

Habitat: Rocky Reef, on bryozoan Virididentula dentata

Depth: Subtidal to 10+ metres

This large nudibranch is usually found in association with its food bryozoan, the blue-green Virididentula dentata. It is yellow-green to yellow-orange in colour, with large blue spots and rhiophores. Its thick branching gills are also blue. The distinctive colouration and large size of this nudibranch is unmistakable, although it tends to occur mostly at deeper snorkelling depths and is more common in the eastern states than in SA.
