This bushy and densely branched red algae that can be found on both rocky reef and coast, as well as on larger macroalgae and sea grasses, such as Amphibolis. It is pink to red in colour, and has pinnate main branches, with sprays of secondary branchlets giving the algae a unique bristly appearance.
