Habitat: Rocky reef and coast

Depth: Subtidal to 5 metres

This dense and bushy species is common in rockpools and sheltered coastal waters, although is difficult to positively identify without experience. It is distinguished by its squarish axes, clusters of slender floats that taper at both ends, and laterals that are radially branched and not pinnate.
