This gastopod resembles a sea slug, in that it doesn't have a visible external shell. However, it does not have rhinophores, or external gills. Instead there is just a tubular siphon. It lives under rocks, on its ascidian food source, and often resembles it in appearance. This means that it is variable in colour, but usually has small rings or spots that match the apertures of the host colony.
