This small snail has a mostly pale shell, with 4-7 ribbed, convex whorls. It is similar to the wentletraps (Family Epitoniidae), but that family usually has distinct axial ridges, instead of ribbing. It also resembles Rissoina vincentiana, which is longer, thinner and smoother.
