This snail is often heavily encrusted. It has a very thick shell, with further thickenings, or varices, occurring at regular intervals, although these are often eroded smooth. The shell, when visible, is white, while the animal is a mustard yellow. It closely resembles Bedeva flindersi, although it does not have as pronounced ribbing, and the short but deep anterior canal is distinctive.
